Online user experience is full of friction. Despite technology progress, we still interact through flat screens & clunky interfaces. Digital storefronts fall short conveying the richness of the products, where texture, color and fit are often inaccurate; and more over they offer very little differentiation across product categories & segments, with the brand experience often getting lost in translation. From VR headsets to holograms & voice assistants, emerging technologies have tried to bridge this gap in the past decades without much success mainly due to technology immaturity. The rapid raise of Generative AI along with mature experiential technologies is pushing a shift that might be removing this friction.
